As co-host of a popular Food Network cooking show and one of just a few Latina chefs with general audience name recognition, Marcella Valladolid was a reader favorite. In addition to her food, she was celebrated for her personal style and her emphasis on family (a value of utmost importance to first and second generation Latinas). For these reasons, I framed her story as a "how to host family and friends" Q/A. It represented one part of a larger package that included a four-page print spread featuring recipes from her cookbook, a cookbook giveaway, a social media takeover, a dedicated email, and a landing page where all Marcella content lived.
